New Delhi: People filing the income tax return (ITR) have to take care of certain things which include calculating the right income tax liability, assessing the total taxable income and collating all the investments which are made for tax saving purposes. July 31, 2019, is the last date to file income tax returns for the financial year (FY) 2018-19. The Income Tax Department may or may not extend the July 31 income tax filing deadline but taxpayers should keep themselves ready with several prerequisites. Good news for jewellery buyers: Gold prices have fallen Rs 450 while silver prices have declined by Rs 1,000 in one week in the New Delhi bullion market. The prices of precious metals such as gold and silver have been very volatile since the beginning of this year following the worries and uncertainties with regard to the multi-billion dollar trade war between US and China. In the local market, the weakening in the gold, silver prices is also due to the lower demand from the domestic jewellers. Amazon has announced the Freedom Sale in India. In the build-up to India’s 72nd Independence Day, the e-commerce giant is kicking off a four-day sale that will see over ‘200,000’ deals on a range of products including smartphones, tablets, laptops, TVs, gaming consoles, clothing, home appliances and furniture, and more. This includes some big brands such as LG, JBL, OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, Samsung, and Vivo among others. The Amazon Freedom Sale will begin on August 9 at 12 am midnight and will last until 11:59 pm on August 12. The four-day sale will be hosted ahead of the Independence Day, which is also when most shoppers go out to cash in on the huge discounts and deals being offered during these days.
